EYERIS Medical Center offers world-class Ophthalmology Diagnostic and Daycare Surgical procedures. We use state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and adhere to global standards.

 

Typically, surgical procedures at our Center take 30 minutes to 2 hours, allowing patients to return home the same day. Patients undergoing daycare procedures recover faster and resume normal routine within a day or two.

 

At our center, the surgeries/procedures are performed by your doctor / surgeon whom you have been consulting regularly. All our centers have modern operating rooms, adjoining to which we provide comfortable post-op recovery areas, where you can rest before being discharged.

Make an Appointment

You may make an appointment for a diagnostic test to be conducted at the Center, as prescribed by your doctor. You can take an appointment by:

Preparation for surgery

General Instructions
  • Please ensure that all details of your insurance cover are provided to the coordinator at EYERIS at least 2 days prior to the surgery.
  • We may try to contact you the night before your surgery. If your contact information has changed, please ensure that you notify us.
  • Please reach your EYERIS Medical Center 60 minutes ahead of the scheduled time of surgery.
 
Before Your Surgery
  • Do not eat or drink anything after 10 PM on the night before the surgery.
  • Remove all makeup, finger- and toenail polish, and jewelry before coming to the hospital. Remove all piercings, including earrings, tongue rings and anything else which may intrude on the procedure you are undergoing.
  • Do not wear contact lenses as they may get lost, dry out or scratch the eyes.
  • Remove dentures before the procedure.
  • Please make a list of your allergies and give it to the doctor on the day of the surgery.
  • If you are on any medications please consult your doctor about them. Please bring a list of your medications with you on the day of the surgery.
 
Upon Arrival
  • When you arrive at the Center on the day of your surgery, you will be taken to the pre-operative area and asked to change into a hospital gown.
  • Your doctor, nurse or anaesthetist will visit and inform you regarding the anaesthesia that will be administered to you during surgery.
  • You will be taken into surgery about 15 - 30 minutes prior to surgery.
 
After Your Surgery
  • You will be taken back to the recovery room for further monitoring for a short time, as needed.
  • During this time if you need any assistance by the nurse, for any activity, please ask the attending nurse.
  • Ask the nurse for assistance.
 
Going Home
  • You must meet certain criteria before being discharged.
  • A responsible adult must be present at the time of discharge to assist you in getting home.
  • Should you have any questions or problems post-op, please contact your surgeon / anaesthetist immediately.
